Want to make a difference?

YAGRO is an award winning agritech company based in Cambridge. We are a tight team of farmers, technologists, and entrepreneurs. We enjoy working together. We do this first and foremost for the farmer. We are not afraid to speak the truth and challenge dogma.

In 2019 we were awarded a grant from Innovate UK, the government’s technology funding arm, to develop a comprehensive Commercial Intelligence System – a tool to bring all critical business information in one place for a farm. It is internationally groundbreaking. And we need to get word out there far and fast, that we are here to transform the way farm businesses are run.

That’s where you come in.

Up for a challenge?

We are operating within an industry characterised by manual processes and poor information exchange. We need to distil a complex and opaque supply chain with multiple actors into a simple, elegant and scalable multi-user platform, with industry-leading analytics and data insight and a flawless user experience.

We are looking for a smart, energetic individual to join us for a period up to three months over this summer. You will be a key part of our team from day one, working to update our brand presence, and plan our autumn marketing campaign to reach key customers in the UK and overseas. This will include writing and designing marketing materials, running our social media presence, and identifying and inspiring leading farmers to be our advocates.

You will be in a position to shape the future of our services and the company, we want to hear your ideas.

The role is flexible and we will tailor it around your skills and preferences, ensuring you get the best possible experience for your continuing career. We will happily offer you all the responsibility you can handle.

What makes you tick?

  • You want to make an impact. You’re driven, take initiative, and not afraid to take responsibility.
  • You have a background in and passion for agriculture.
  • You love crafting stories, getting communities together, and reaching out to people.
  • You have a flair for marketing design, and familiarity with social media channels.
  • You love learning.
  • You’re interested in software and technology, even though you might not have specific experience in this area

Who are you?

  • A student or early career professional, looking for a new experience in the agriculture industry.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • We don’t define anything else. We value all types of backgrounds and experience. It’s who they’ve made you today that we’re interested in.

Above all, you’re excited by our vision and share our core values: we’re always learning; always looking for new challenges; we inspire each other; we are open and honest; we trust each other and aren’t afraid to give or accept responsibility and autonomy; and we have fun!

To apply, please email a CV to together with a brief introduction. We’re interested in what you’ve done, but what we really care about is where you’re going.
