The Product Designer Role
As product designer, you’ll join our product team to make YAGRO the most appealing and user-friendly analytics tool for farmers. You will work closely with our Head of Product and engineers to take designs from idea to implementation. Your primary focus will be the experience of our platform and to help design new - and redesign existing - features.
We need you to create meaningful, lasting software that deliver an immediate impact to our customers. We have ready demand for the next generation of our platform, which will focus on predictive data analytics and enterprise insights.
What we expect you will do
Ask relevant questions and actively research our users, to understand who they are and what the real problems they face are.
Have a user-centric mindset and care more about solving the right problems than creating random features
Shape up rough ideas into more concrete proposals, from wireframes to detailed prototypes
Work together with the engineers to solve identified problems and help with the implementation
Measure the impact of your solutions, using both qualitative and quantitative methods, and iterate when appropriate.
Standardising our design artefacts, developing a style guide/design system
Collaborate with the Head of Product to define and develop the product roadmap
Who are we looking for?
You have 3+ years of work experience as a Product Designer UX/UI, working on user research, wireframing, prototyping, UI/UX design and usability testing for web applications.
You have created beautiful things that you are proud of and you can show in your portfolio
You possess excellent critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
You are self-motivated with little need for supervision, but a dedicated team player who drives results
You have experience with Figma, Sketch, Framer or similar software
You ideally know HTML/CSS and JS
You are fluent in spoken and written English
Where?
Our office is located in Cambridge, UK. We operate a hybrid working model that gives employees the flexibility to work from home, but we meet every few weeks in the office. We would prefer you to live within reasonable travelling distance (train journey or short flight), but feel free to apply if you live further afield.
