Our Top 5 Highlights of 2017
YAGRO HISTORIC
With the new year upon us, we’ve taken a moment this week to reflect on 2017. It was a formative year for Yagro, moving from a handful of farmers experimenting with online input purchasing, to a community - hundreds of farms strong - embracing the efficiency and transparency technology can bring to the agricultural supply chain. Here are our top 5 highlights of 2017.
#5 Stepping into the spotlight
An ongoing highlight throughout the year has been the positive reception and coverage of Yagro in the press. We’ve been featured multiple times in Farmers Weekly and Farmers Guardian (including one double page spread!) and even made an appearance in the Guardian.
#4 And the winner is...
We were thrilled to be Regional Winners and National Finalists for the Barclays Entrepreneur Awards in October. A fantastic evening hosted by Barclays and Baroness Karen Brady, and a wonderful opportunity to showcase Yagro and represent the broader AgriTech sector.
#3 A Royal stamp of approval
When Prince Charles pays you a visit and thinks your work's 'riveting', it’s hard not to get excited. To meet someone of the Prince’s profile, who shares our passion for the sustainability of UK farming, was a real honour. An invitation to visit his farm was the icing on the cake!
#2 There's an app for that...
Though Yagro has always been mobile friendly and designed for use on-the-go, the release of the Yagro app on iOS and Android marked a real turning point. Push notifications when suppliers send new quotes, placing orders at the tap of a button… All the control a farmer needs, right at their fingertips.
#1 Transparency to rock the AgChem industry
The top spot for 2017 has to go to the launch of Yagro Price Check, our AgChem price comparison tool. We were blown away with its reception and the potential savings unlocked on farm, and we're excited about ways to build on this in future, providing further insight and unlocking even more value for farmers.
What a year! And it's just the beginning... We can't wait for what 2018 has to offer!
